ADEPOJU LAUDS NIGERIAN SPACE DIGEST AS WORLD-CLASS PUBLICATION

The Director-General and Chief Executive of the National Space Research and Development Agency, Dr. Matthew Adepoju, has commended the production of the latest edition of the Nigeria Space Digest Magazine, describing it as “superb” in both content and quality.

‎Dr. Adepoju made the commendation during the management review and official presentation of the latest edition of the Agency’s magazine at the NASRDA Headquarters in Abuja.

The NASRDA boss lauded the Director of Media and Corporate Communication/Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine, Dr. Felix Ale, who, despite inadequate funding, coordinated the successful production of the magazine through support from strategic partners.

‎Dr. Adepoju stressed the need for the various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) featured in the publication to translate into practical and measurable outcomes that would advance the Agency’s mandate for national development.

‎He also stated that some of the research journals and scientific publications highlighted in the magazine, possess significant international value and could be monetized globally to promote Nigeria’s space research potential and generate revenue for the country.

‎‎Earlier, the Director, Media and Corporate Communication/ Editor-in-Chief Dr. Felix Ale, explained that the magazine focuses largely on the activities, achievements, and innovations of the Agency's various Centres and Laboratories, with special attention given to programmes and activities at the headquarters.

‎‎He also commended Dr. Adepoju, who, since his assumption of office, has continued to give unflinching support to the department by creating an enabling environment which has contributed to the successful production of the magazine.

According to him, the magazine, with a cover story, titled “The Ubiquity of Space in Digital Age: NASRDA’s Rising Legacy and Nigeria’s New Dawn in Space Science,” will be distributed to the Presidency, Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and various embassies in the country.
