NASRDA STAFF OPTIMISTIC AS AGENCY GEARS UP FOR NEW YEAR ACHIEVEMENTS

                                         

Staff of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) have expressed renewed commitment and optimism for the new year, celebrating last year’s successes while setting ambitious goals for even greater accomplishments ahead.

In an interview with the Agency’s media team, the Director, Special Duties, Dr. Olatubosun Yusuf, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to address staff, stating that the Agency had entered the year with appreciation for its progress and positive outcomes.

He said that management expects all staff to demonstrate greater commitment, unity, and mutual support to surpass previous achievements.

Dr. Yusuf added that with collective effort and renewed dedication, NASRDA would be better positioned to achieve its objectives and deliver effectively on its core mandate.

Also speaking, the Director of the Finance and Accounts Department, Dr. Olugbenga Oleoseni, gave thanks to God for the privilege of witnessing another year and commended the Director-General for the achievements recorded over the past two years, describing his leadership as focused and impactful. 

He further praised the DG’s decisive approach in prioritizing staff welfare, noting that it had helped the Agency remain functional and effective despite economic challenges.

Dr. Oleoseni acknowledged the constraints facing the Agency, particularly limited resources, but said that available funds had been utilized judiciously to ensure operational efficiency. Expressing optimism for 2026, he stated that with the Director-General’s increased effort and staff’s renewed dedication, the Agency is expected to achieve better outcomes, including progress on pending initiatives.

Other staff members also shared their aspirations for the Agency in the new year, with Ms. Eniola Asaolu and Mrs. Ngozi Joel describing the leadership climate as encouraging and noting that management’s people-centered approach, particularly its attention to staff needs and motivation, had boosted morale and strengthened commitment.

In his contribution, a Scientific Officer at NASRDA’s Centre for Basic Space Science, Nsukka, Itodo Vincent, commended the Director-General for the prompt release of promotion letters, noting that the gesture had significantly lifted staff spirits. 

He expressed optimism for the year, highlighting the Agency’s plan to build and launch four new satellites, a milestone that marks a major achievement not only for NASRDA but also for Nigeria.

Ms. Sefiyat Ahmodu from NASRDA's Centre for Satellite Technology Development, expressed confidence that with unity, effective leadership, and sustained collaboration, NASRDA would continue to build on past successes and advance its mission in the year ahead.

It is evident that both management and staff are all ready and optimistically geared up for a purposeful 2026, as NASRDA is ready to contribute meaningfully to the development of our beloved nation.
